Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Animation Course
using a range of materials, including modelling clay, plaster, oil paints, watercolours and acrylics
developing the timing and pace of the movements of a character or object during the sequence of images and ensuring they follow the soundtrack and audio requirements
using technical software packages, such as Flash, 3ds Max, Maya, LightWave, Softimage and Cinema 4D
building up accurate, detailed, frame-by-frame visuals
dealing with diverse business cultures, delivering presentations and finding funding.
recording dialogue and working with editors to composite the various layers of animation (backgrounds, special effects, characters and graphics) in order to produce the finished piece
working to production deadlines and meeting clients’ commercial requirements
working as part of a broader production team, which might include liaising with printers, copywriters, photographers, designers, account executives, website designers or marketing specialists

Semester 1:

Fundamentals of Multimedia and Animation: Introduction to multimedia and animation, principles of animation, multimedia elements, and their integration.

Drawing and Sketching: Basic drawing techniques, sketching exercises, understanding shapes, forms, and proportions.

Digital Imaging: Introduction to digital image editing, basic tools and techniques, image manipulation, and compositing.

Communication Skills: Oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal communication.

Computer Applications: Basics of computer operations, file management, and software applications relevant to multimedia and animation.


Semester 2:

Multimedia Designing: Principles of multimedia design, layout design, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.

2D Animation Basics: Introduction to 2D animation, keyframe animation, timing, and spacing, basic character animation.

Storyboarding: Principles of storyboarding, creating visual narratives, planning and organizing multimedia projects.

Principles of Editing: Basics of video editing, non-linear editing systems, editing techniques, and workflow.

Environmental Studies: Understanding the environment, its components, and the impact of human activities on the environment.


Semester 3:

VFX Compositing: Introduction to visual effects (VFX), compositing techniques, green screen, and blue screen compositing.

Sound Editing: Basics of sound editing, sound effects, Foley effects, dialogue editing, and synchronization.

3D Designing: Introduction to 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering.

Multimedia Programming: Introduction to programming languages used in multimedia, basics of scripting for multimedia applications.

Media Laws and Ethics: Understanding media laws, copyright, intellectual property rights, and ethical issues in multimedia and animation.


Semester 4:

Advanced VFX And Compositing: Advanced visual effects techniques, advanced compositing, motion tracking, and integration.

Character Animation: Principles of character animation, advanced techniques, character development, and storytelling through animation.

Digital Cinematography: Basics of digital cinematography, camera operations, lighting techniques, and shot composition.

Entrepreneurship Development: Basics of entrepreneurship, business planning, and management skills for creative industries.

Project Work: Practical application of multimedia and animation concepts in a project-based learning environment.



Semester 5:

Advanced 3D Animation: Advanced 3D animation techniques, character rigging, advanced lighting, and rendering techniques.

Interactive Multimedia: Introduction to interactive multimedia, multimedia authoring tools, and programming for interactivity.

Digital Marketing: Basics of digital marketing, social media marketing, branding, and promotion strategies for multimedia projects.

Internship/Industry Training: Hands-on experience in a multimedia or animation studio, exposure to real-world projects and workflows.



Semester 6:

Project Management: Basics of project management, project planning, budgeting, and resource management for multimedia projects.

Portfolio Development: Creating a professional portfolio showcasing student work, preparing for job interviews and freelance opportunities.
